I bought Alpha Sapphire day 1. Spent some time leveling in Rustboro while shitting. I dropped the game and didn't pick up the series again until Sum/Moon dropped, which I also dropped a few levels in. I picked up ORAS again with a difficulty mod and that got me through till the end of the game and then I quit. I got got back into the swing of things when VC Yellow and Gold were announced and I've been picking up the pieces from there with Ultra Sun.

Recently picked up the game and ditto. The problem? It slows the game down considerably. It's still just another form of grinding, another band-aid on the broken RNG system they call IVs and to a lesser extent natures. Dex nav wouldn't be needed if we could catch a usable 'money right off the bat.

Pokémon is strange in that the more you know about how to properly play the game (getting better natures/moves/stats) the less fun it becomes because of the grind required to get all those cool tools.

Despite mining the game data, several areas still have intense mystery around them like Shoal Cave's ice section, Mt. Pyre, Sky Pillar, or the desert

You bought the same game again, but instead of expanding upon what made Hoenn so great, you got something that actually reduced content and GF thinks it's funny to hint at something never coming despite it making their games have longevity

This is why I didn't find Dexnav fun at all. I use it and half the time it tells me to taking more steps and to get anything that's actually good I need to use it like 20-30 times on the same Pokemon. I'd rather just breed or trade.

This. The most work they've ever done period in their entire history of developing Pokemon, was making a fuckload of futureproof models for the indefinite future, as well as develop for Switch.
Had PokeMania not happened and secured them as the most successful developers at "do nothing and get free money", they would've been laughed out of the industry and never saw that rise to fame.
