>>34463307- Gen 1: It started it all. It's okay because is the first Gen.
- Gen 2: It was an improvement over Gen 1 by adding 100 more Pokémon, real colors in the overworld, Pokémon can now hold items making the battles more variety, replacing the Special stat with Sp. Attack and Sp. Defense, Apricorn Balls, and fixing the broken Normal- and Psychic-types while improving the underused Fighting-type.
- Gen 3: It was good, not as good as Gen 2, but it was fun. It also introduced Abilities giving even more variety in battles, and more emphasys in story.
- Gen 4: It introduced the 3D for the first time to the series and separated the attacking moves into Physical and Special categories, giving even more variety in battles. The only bad games here were Diamond and Pearl, then Platinum, HeartGold, and SoulSilver were godlike games. HeartGold and SoulSilver even took the place as the best games in the series, that was held by Gen 2.
- Gen 5: It was the first Gen were they didn't added new things in battle (but only if we don't count Hidden Abilities). It took way more emphasys in story, even having the climax of story at the end of the game, the first time for the main series. The story of both BW and B2W2 might be very weak for a JRPG, but for the main series is the best. B2W2 had the best Post-Game in re-visiting the three first placements in BW, which had changed a lot in 2 years, Join Avenue (is available in main story but the best things are available in Post-Game), PWT, etc.
- Gen 6: Trying to repeat what made Gen 5 so good, they tried to make the story more like a JRPG but instead they made a cliche JRPG story, also to add something new unlike Gen 5 they added Mega Evolution, a new transformation that adds more stats, new Ability, and in a few cases an new type, to add variety in battles. Gen 6 didn't surpassed B2W2 but it stood as passable games.
