I think the backgrounds and stages in Pokken are probably a good measure for how things will look in Gen 8, which has me pretty excited

Seeing as though the 3D models for XY and beyond were all done by 2011, (Since they were in the Pokedex app) and they're gonna reuse those same models for quite some time (With new textures most likely, and if we're really lucky, they'll fix some of the weird flying ones) I'm wondering how far along they've already come graphics wise for Gen 8, though I think we'll still get them in 2019 since the jump is so huge compared to anything they've worked with before

At the very least, they'll be as good as the Orre games were for their time
