Like what? Earthquake? Landorus gets that. Stone Edge? Landorus gets that. Outrage? Locking yourself into a move that gets you easily revenge killed in fairies and steels: the meta isn't exactly good. Devastating Drake? Lando's Flyinium Z stab is objectively better. Zygarde pulls off Dragonium Z better too to blow past opposition because it can buff its speed along with its attack.

Hell, Landorus even gets Superpower and HP Ice to kill opposing Landorus and Zygarde. Garchomp has so few options when weighted next to Lando's coverage and Zygarde's absurd versatile movepool.

Landorus-T literally has bigger attack, and it actually has better offensive options such as Smack Down, Supersonic Skystrike, Rock Polish and even Explosion. Outrage doesn't scare anybody anymore.

Garchomp's only other options are Dragon Claw anc Fire Fang, which is only useful for Skarmory/Celesteela. Thousand Arrows completely makes fire Fang obsolete and Lando-T can use the Z-moves for Stone Edge and Fly.

What about "saving" all the other mons that are UU now or on the way down there? Thats just how things go with the powercreep and poor chomp doesn't have anything that makes it stand out like TTar with sand + unique typing.

With mons getting faster and faster many pokemon that once were great offensiv threats become bad at applying pressure.

If you want to buff it give it Zygards movepool its that easy but it won't happen anyway

Azu just got fucked by SM completely, with Pex + Celesteela (and Bulu) new in the tier it pretty much became completely useless without getting a Belly Drum off and you can't even setup on them because of Haze / Scald burn / Heavy Slam. And there there is also Lele to shut down Aqua Jet as well.

It's not even power creep, it's just the new mons.

A few ideas, choose one or more:
Dump Sand Veil for Sand Rush as its ability. Give it Defog for hazards. Now it's a better Excadrill.

Retcon current Mega Garchomp to be Mega Garchomp X. Make a Mega Garchomp Y that doesn't suck and has an ability that isn't bad, maybe Mold Breaker so it can bust past Mimikyu Disguises. Alternatively, give it Battle Bond and make a Cynthia-Garchomp with a non-retarded stat allocation.

New Exclusive signature move Inescapable Chomp. Dragon type Pursuit, but it hits Fairies for neutral damage. Now Garchomp has gone from a shitty Lando/Zygarde to a faster Tyranitar pursuit trapper thing but without Tyranitar's bulk. Inescapable Chomp can be used with Garchompium-Z crystal to become Big Bite Feeding Frenzy which has 90 Base Power, can hit Fairies, and hits all enemy pokemon in Doubles/Triple battles.

It can learn Roost now. Long live the chomp.

Alola Garchomp! It's a Steel/Dragon type with the same movepool and stats except its abilities are now Iron Barbs/Lightingrod and it learns Meteor Mash and Heavy Slam. Alola Garchomp also can use a mega stone, and turn into Mega Alola Garchomp.

Unique Item- Hammer Head. Garchomps holding this unique item will always get critical hits every time they use a contact move.

Garchomps with Illegal natures! Instead of boosting one stat and lowering another, it boosts two stats! Cynthias Garchomp did this in D/P because she's a filthy cheater, what if that just becomes part of Garchomp's lore as something only Garchomp can do? Now oyu can have one with the speed of a Jolly Chomp AND the might of an Adamant one!

I think the Tapus are the better thing to come out of this Generation and I think gen 7 is shit. We can disagree there. UBs are kinda shit but all but two of them are memes in competitive. Patches are a thing. Yeah I'm not asking for EVERY pokemon to be buffed nor constantly buffing older and newer pokemon constantly. It's just somewhat disheartening when you can't use what you like effectively vs megas, pseudo, legends, tapu, ub and whatever else being everywhere. Oh well...there's always gonna be something better either way.

A lot of mons I like are good competitively. Kartana, Toxapex, Tyranitar, Volcarona, Celesteela, Hoopa-U, Magnezone, M-Mawile, Greninja... Pheromosa, Yveltal, Naganadel, Marshadow, Aegislash, Necrozma...

There are a lot of different mons in OU and Ubers. If you seriously can't find anything you like in the top A-rank slots there, you should probably broaden your tastes. Or just play lower tiers
