There hasn't been a new type of Pokeball introduced other than the Beast Ball & Dream Ball. Let's make some new ones.

There should be Balls for each type and then at some point in the game you can mix them for specific Pokemon or just aesthetics.

Or just some ball we can customize and then purchase like 10 each day.

The Duraball

It would be the most expensive Pokeball in the games at around 20000 pokedollars & only have half the catch rate as a Pokeball. What makes it so valuable is that if the player throws a Duraball & fails to catch the Pokemon, after the end of the battle it will return to the player's bag. It's a Pokeball you can use an infinite amount of times.

Kalos completely missed an opportunity with the pokeball factory. There could've been a side thing to customize your pokeballs with custom paint, colors, and opening animations. They would be called Custom Balls of course. I'm no balltist but this shit would rock. Custom Balls would probably be bought at the factory for maybe P1000. If they only had preset paint designs as well they could be used online. This feature desperately needs to happen.

I just want to be able to switch the pokeball a pokemon is in. Even if they make it a consumable system (aka when you switch, you don't get the old ball back, it's just gone), that'd be fine.

Starter balls: These Poke'balls are given to new trainers along with their very first Poke'mon. They come in in three commemorative designs; Fire Red, Leaf Green and Aqua Blue.

This is mostly a personal gripe about this not already being a thing and you not being able to change the starter balls

I really like this idea. It would given premier balls a reason for being so stupid to obtain and would add another function to the Dye houses in festival plaza.

Maybe 1star could be basic colours from the dye house and as you increase you unlock patterns using berries.

Tbh I'd quite like to see pokeballs with the designs of the berries. There are some great ones.

The Last Resort ball

Increases catch rate based on how low your own pokemon's HP instead. Full HP .5x, Half HP, x2, 1/4 HP x4, and 1 HP left x8 catch rate.

We have clear 3D models of pokéballs right now, you could probably implement a minigame where you can draw on any ball or make one from scratch in like one week of coding.
Fucking Mario Kart DS let you draw your own logo on the karts.

Sure the problem would be Dicks Balls everywhere, but just let this be an offline/friends only feature and people will fucking love you.

The problem is the following:
If you're poor and need balls you won't buy these anyway because they're expensive, even if you could afford one, it'd be annoying because you only have one try per pokémon, and if you're lucky instead, congrats you spend a fuckload of money on one early shitmon anyway, why didn't you just spam normal balls.

Lategame instead money isn't a problem in the first place so you'll just rather buy a fuckload of pokèballs which have better catch rate.

I had an idea similar to this, though not as complicated.
>Danger Ball
This ball gives a 6x catch multiplier if your current Pokemon is close to fainting (HP bar is red). 1x catch multiplier otherwise.

Here's another one.
>Arrow Ball
This ball gives a 3x catch multiplier if the target is airborne (Flying type, Levitate ability, affected by Telekiesis, etc.). 1x catch multiplier otherwise.

Rage Ball: The catching rate increases along with the wild Pokemon's Attack/Special boosts.

Slime Ball: If the target breaks free, its speed will sharply drop.

Palette Ball: The ball's color scheme will change based one what pokemon you catch it with.

Gambit Ball: Has a 50/50 chance to catch and fully heal the Pokemon. But if it fails, the Pokemon faints immediately.

The original concept is shit though.

I was thinking more the top half of the ball is Red, blue, green etc with a flame, water drop and leaf design in a darker colour or contrasting lighter colour.

That's just a pokeball with a sticker on it.

Dusk ball works better at night and in dark areas (caves, et al) - but not with Dark Pokemon.
Really, the Dawn ball should work better during the day, in lit areas (the occasional building), and when Sunny Day is in effect.

Spectra Ball: a 1.0 catch rate ball that has an increased catch rate of 1.0 for every different ball thrown in a chain before. So if you throw a normal poke ball, a great and ultra ball before using a spectra ball it will have a catch rate of 4.0. The chain resets if two of the same balls are thrown in succession.

Same catch rate as a normal pokeball, but gives a more elaborate start and finish similar to stickers. Different starts and finishes according to pokemon's first type.
