>>34529400This would probably be a bigger deal if they didn't do the same parallels with Ash and Dawn in DP, even to the point where Dawn's first episode was purposely made to mirror Ash's first episode. The way I see it, Dawn was written to literally be girl Ash, but Serena was written with the canon crush.
