Nihilego is the best pokemon. Not by stats or design, but by not only reminding everyone that pokemon can seriously fuck you up via actually seriously fucking someone up both in the games and in the anime (twice if you count Faba getting slapped around, but who cares about him).

I like that its a pokemon whose threat is just amped up versions of what you naturally feel and want. Nihilego feeds off the emotions of its host while boosting the wants and needs of the host at the same time.

I wonder if having a Nihilego is actually dangerous. It has no concept of emotion, only survival instinct, so what's to stop it from trying to take over its trainer's mind if it feels the need to. UB's seem like creatures that dont follow the same loyalty patterns as regular pokemon. Something like Guzzlord eating you on purpose, or Kartana cutting you to pieces for no reason seems very possible.

I always thought the point of Ultra Beasts was that they're sort of like Legendaries but less intelligent or more primal. Made worse by their greater numbers since they can appear in groups.
