I've been frequenting GameFAQs (the Ultra Sun board) and r/pokemon, pretty good desu. you could also try Serebii or Bulbapedia forums, or comments section of popular Pokétubers such as Verlisify. If you prefer a more competitive oriented discussion, there's Smogon forum, or even Showdown chatrooms.

I've always found gamefaqs to be strangely comforting. I've never posted but it seems like it's the one site you always come across for questions on enemy game like it has been there since the very beginning.
I have never viewed boards on new games too so the slow moving boards I see are like it recording archives to help people in the future.
