People keep saying excusing arguments sayings it's a JRPG and try to act smug saying other people haven't played JRPGs
The problem is the genre has changed a lot and what was common place before doesn't happen so you have people arguing that isn't the case
Another example is 3rd version, not getting it's outdated
Street fighter and other fighting games released multiple versions calling them ultra, turbo, gold etc... because that was the only way to add a new character, mode or balance the game
None of them do that now, instead they patch the game and give DLC, once it's all done then they release a complete version which is half the price as original
Pokemon released a full price game, it's a shoddy outdated business practice yet pokefags insist on defending it
