>>34500237>Misdreavus & Mismagius --> Ghost/FairyMismagius is based on a witch. Japanese name translates to Mumage. Learns all of the "Magical" moves in Japanese through level-up or TM, including the previous signature move of Delphox (Mahoxy = maho + foxy), Mystical Fire (Japanese is Magical Flame). Delphox is Psychic-type. Mismagius should also be Psychic-type.
>Celebi --> Grass/FairyNo. Celebi's powers relate to its ability to travel through time. In Gen II, time was associated with the psychic-type move, Future Sight. Celebi can learn Future Sight.
Furthermore Game Freak created various Psychic-type Legendaries and Mythicals to convey their strength (Lugia, Mewtwo). If Celebi is another example of that trope, Psychic is more appropriate.
>Milotic --> Water/FairyYes.
>Jirachi --> Steel/FairyJirachi originated from a shooting star. Star = outer space = Psychic-type.
We literally had two gyms and the SM mascots with this theme, so it baffles me that people want Jirachi to not be Psychic-type.
>Finneon Line --> Water/FairyNo, that doesn't even make sense. Water/Bug makes more sense than that, but I wouldn't even give them that.
>Uxie, Azelf, Mesprit --> Psychic/FairyYes. Especially since their names are derived from synonyms of fairies.
>Meloetta --> Fairy/Psychic & Fairy/FightingNo. Meloetta is first and foremost a signing Pokemon that relies on sound. Sound moves are Normal-type. The Jigglypuff and Whismur families are Normal-type. Sound = Normal. Meloetta should be Normal.
