Sometimes I'm playing another game and I feel like whatever spell or ability just got used would make a lot of sense in Pokemon. Anyone else get those vibes?
Share ideas for moves, abilities, items, and whatever from other games that you think would be neat ideas in Pokemon. I'll start
>Frog Squash spell from Chrono Trigger
>a physical version of Water Spout
>Blue Magic's 'Learning' from Final Fantasy as a Pokemon ability
>lets the user permanently learn attacks it's struck by as long as it has an empty moveslot and survives the blow
>Psychopath from Mario RPG as a psychic-type status move
>reveals the target's nature
>moves like Haste, Slow, Stop, Quick implemented into Pokemon, all ways to augment the raw base stat similar to Huge Power
>Haste automatically doubles the base Speed stat of the target for 3 turns
>Slow automatically halves it for 3 turns
>not sure about Stop or Quick...
>more esoteric status effects from other RPGs creep in
>Fear and Petrification
>a status effect that lowers SpA like Burn lowers Att
>a status effect that transforms the target like Scarecrow, Frog, Pig, Imp...
>status effects like Oiled that make certain elemental moves more or less effective
>status effects like Berserk that have a huge drawback but boost your stats
