I doubt it, call me a pattern fag, but pokemon protagonists have always had hair colors ranging from black to light brown (with the exception of Kris, who had blue hair, although that's probably why she got replaced since it looked retarded kek), reflecting the hair demography of Japanese people, so that it is easier to self insert themselves onto the player.

I really hope not. To put it bluntly it's solid turn based system is the cornerstone of Pokemon as a franchise. Changing it to some kind of awkward hybrid of turn based and real time combat would be an awful idea that would turn a significant majority of the fanbase off of buying the game.
