BW2 was the only step in the right direction but they realized there's no point in actually putting effort when all you need is to build up hype

X and Y are fine games. I play through them regularly.

Diamond and Pearl (along with Red and Blue) are the only games I don't play through anymore. They are awful in every single way.

Actually, you won't believe it, but walking speed in RS and DP is the same.
RS takes 16 frames to move one tile
DP takes 8 frames
DP runs at 30 FPS, RS runs at 60 FPS

I actually love those games, though it's probably just a nostalgia thing. This is kind of dumb, but I find the slow pacing comfy along with the really nice soundtrack.

Funny story:
My cousin also had Diamond and he was the type who wouldn't play any video game without cheats, so he used his action replay to take a team of 6 level 100 arceus through every playthrough. I remember he battled me with them and won (obviously), so I asked him to battle me with non-legendaries and he said okay and just ended up using six arceus again. He would play this "joke" every time but it quickly became apparent that he was afraid/too insecure to battle me with regular pokemon. This only really bothered me because he was my only friend who played pokemon and the wireless battling stuff was completely lost on me because the only person I could battle was someone who refused to fight me with anything other than six arceus.
