Peaked in Gen 1. Machamp, Hitmonlee and Primeape are great Pokémon. Heracross is good, but otherwise it's only been downhill since then.

I really like the fighting type and I try to have some coverage every gen I play, but I think the introduction of fairy hurt dark and fighting types moreso than dragon (which is why I thought they were introduced), but it's nice that poisonbros gets another strength.

I don't like it since most of my favourite pokémons are weak to it. I also find that that type has way too many good high power moves while other types get shafted.
Fighting was OP in gen V, deserved the nerf, and fightfags should stop whining.

I postly think it's really unfair Fighting has Close Combat, Superpower, HJK, Hammer Arm, Sacred Sword, Mach Punch, Drain Punch, Low Kick while Rock only has Stone Miss and Rick Slide.

Hits for 30 BP more than Stone Edge, hits infinitely more often, has more PP, and when you miss an attack you still get fucked anyway. And Close Combat exists anyway. Fighting has it so much better than Rock offensively it's not even a contest.

My favorite type--inspired me to be /fit/ and be less of a bitch. Machamp and Conkeldurr are my top 2 bros.

Past gens haven't been too kind on them, Machamp especially. Not to mention I like the quirk of the type having several monstrous humanoid designs. I can appreciate animal-based designs but it seems GF is intent on completely abandoning what made Fighting-type aesthetics unique. Really killed my interest in the franchise.

Conceptually, the type is very nice as taking something simple like fighting spirit then turning it into an element that manages to be both flexible and well-defined is impressive. Design concepts however often feel a bit lacking in that respect as the freedom hasn't been explored enough (or at least so in earlier generations) and the executions their selves sometimes feel very samey, but solid. Gameplay wise I find it to be immensely boring though, just being the "tear through everything with high power moves" type. It fits, but it isn't fun. Very mixed bag overall.
