If you're gonna spend 9 years making a game with fakemon and your own region/characters you might as well add a few more changes and not call it Pokemon
Maybe they didn't realize before it was too late but they should have expected this and just change anything related to Pokemon, except the battle mechanics

If you're really good and lucky maybe you can start your own series although you wont get to the same level as Pokemon anytime soon, There's a few popular game series that came from mods or clones after all

Between this and Pokemon Garnet i'm sure that switching to 3D instead of improving the pixel graphics was a mistake. Also those fakemon are fucking ugly as all hell.
