It's a different story from the get-go. As in, they're direct sequels to the originals. We're talking new areas, some new gym leaders, more Pokemon to choose from, and so on

I felt characters like Hau and...no just Hau got better, but Lillie and especially Lusamine felt illogical and incomplete. It's like they wanted to take the story into a new direction, but didn't felt like doing it from the start, so they just grabbed a reference point around the climax and started from there.

Maybe also because it's less about Lillie and Lusamine's story and more about the emotions and tragedy of Necrozma that's central to the story. So stuff like the scene with Lillie and the PC on Exeggutor Island got cut out and she also isn't there during the absolute climax, unlike in SM.

After the second trip to Aether. Lusamine's character is changed then, almost all of the romp through poni is altered and the E4 has 1 different member. Aside from those major one's there are more minor differences interspersed through the whole game.

You start in a new area, go through three cities before you get to Castelia (the big metropolitan area).

After you beat Skyla you’re flown to another new city, go through stuff (that was in post game in BW).

Either way, not even including post game content, it was different enough to justify the $40.

I'm on the third island. I'm only playing it because I'm stuck away from home with family. The only difference I've noticed is a couple battles with the robo people and the surfing mini game.

The game is just a bunch of dean cutscenes. Also all the trainers have drawn out intros to battle and there's usually only one on their team.

Game is whack. I am bored to tears. I don't even have WiFi for my switch or laptop. Worse Christmas ever.

Not that it matters now that GF has already made way more off of USUM than what they put into it but people like >>34544882 and >>34544853 really should've looked at reviews that aren't paid off before dumping $40 on overpriced DLC.
I used the money I would have spent on USUM to get Shantae and Battle Chef Brigade on my Switch btw.

The RR stuff is cool. I had fun with it. It's a little short, but it's better than ORAS's Delta Episode. Also, the extra Ultra Space areas for the new UBs are cool. I had a lotta fun with it, it was more climactic than the game's main story.
I don't think they were. The game's pretty good. It's no Second Coming, but I loved it.
