>>34542775I have a similar headcanon. Pokemon are considered very close or on par with humans, mainly because Pokemon possess higher intelligence and emotional capacity. Eating meat from Pokemon, while not outright cannibalism, is illegal in some places and heavily frowned upon in others. Regular animals do exist and function in the PokeWorld much the same way they do in ours.
Tying into that, the PokeWorld is geographically very similar to our world, so real life places like India, Guyana and the USA exist.
