Latest Shiny: Giratina on Christmas Day! I always wanted one!Adamant synchronize failed, but Sassy nature is decent. Symmetrical stats and offensive + defensive forms makes Giratina a safe bet.

Favorite ice shiny: Shiny Regice in saphire was my first shiny. 3 days straight of soft resetting. I was literally JUST about to give up when I got him that fateful Thanksgiving day! Though I lost him along with a ton of ev trained mons when I lost my white version one day... I miss him the most even when I acquired more meta shinies via trading. On the bright side, I bounced back. My ev trained empire is bigger and better now.

I honestly thought the charm had an effect as well before the confirmation. I got my first Poipole in about 400-600 SRs in Ultra Moon, 207 SRs for my first Type: Null in Moon, and just over 500+ in Sun for the 2nd Type:Null, and I was convinced the charm had an effect.

Gen 2 breeding takes patience, but it's hella rewarding. I have 3 extra shiny Nidoran Males, an extra shiny Diglett, and an extra shiny Lickitung from Gold alone, plus I bred for all the starters and a lot more. With 1/64 odds, the amount of steps to take is worth it. Also, hunt Pawniard/Bisharp with me.

You can MM since odds even without charm are decent. Or you can SOS chain, IIRC once you hit 70 SOS calls the called moms have an increased chance of being shiny up until 255 where the RNG is fucked

The only hunt I did outside of gen 3 was a SR for shiny Type: Null. I got lucky and got it early which felt pretty easy. The few shiny hunts I have done in Gen 3 border on the insane. Your thoughts go wild. It's a form of self-inflicted torture. I doubt Buddhist monks have that sort of dedication.

I think injecting is good in a way because people who shiny hunt now do it for themselves. Injecting has preventing the VGC from turning into the TCG. You don't have to wire a Chinese company 200$ for a perfect shiny Toxapex.

You can get the shiny charm if you complete the national dex (except events I believe). If you hunt through random encounters then there are long patches of grass where there are wild double battles, and while the odds don't increase, it's essentially encountering 2 Pokemon in the time it normally takes to encounter one. Masuda Method is a thing still. Note that Reshiram and Zekrom are shiny locked. Unsure about the other legendaries aside from Victini, which is definitely also locked. That's everything that comes to mind.

Look at the top right where you see "Shiny Charm". No matter if it's checked (meaning you have the charm) or not (meaning you don't have the charm), there is no difference in RNG, and the game treats Poipole as not being affected by the Shiny Charm.

I've got plenty to go for, actually. I need to try and SR a legendary I like for the first time but I have some specific eggs to do first. I know you don't want to hear this, but if you leave Guzzlord's wormhole and find it again, you won't have to go through the cutscene. It cuts down the time of each reset from ~26 seconds down to ~12.

Thanks. The only way to skip the scene is to interact with it and then find the wormhole again. But damn it took a day to find this thing and going through ultraspace is tedious and requires my full attention and concentration so I'll hunt with the cutscene

Because I already have my Parasect.
Damp with Spore, False Swipe, and X-Scissor if I feel like SOS chaining.
Plus an almost unreasonable amount of Leppa Berries.
All I really need is something built to keep something like Ho-Oh from struggling after 20 moves.

Not sure if those would do it. Oranguru and Sharpedo were extremely desired because people were too lazy to hunt them down and needed them to complete the dex. Sharpedo was more valuable than Oranguru though, likely because people just kept fishing in a non-ripple spot and got frustrated. Find a nice rare mon like Larvesta and see what gets you the most results.

Yeah good breedjects are super common, especially for viable or popular mons like Froakie.
Make sure to check if Larvestas on the GTS are being snapped up with a test one or by looking at other offers, it could end up like Mareanie where people were breeding the shit out of it and no one needed one.
