Maybe it wont be a direct sequel to XY called Z, maybe it's an entirely different region and the box art doesn't allude to Zygarde but he has to come back in some sort of plot
They made Zygarde a big deal, ultra worm holes showed that there are other worlds, they'll probably have something in the next gen that works together with all those to create a reason for Zygarde to interfere in the main story
