I've found many Shiny Pokémon, but the first one was Bellossom in SoulSilver, I was looking for a female Gloom to evolve it in a Bellossom to complete the Pokédex, and I found a green Female Gloom (I think you will imagine how happy I was that I found a female Gloom that was also Shiny)

My first Shiny was a Spinda. In the shit lighting of the GBA, it looked like it was covered in the soot always falling in Route 111, so I named it Grey.
Imagine my shock when I transferred it to Pearl and I learned it was actually green this whole time. I was bitter about that for years, refused to even acknowledge I had it until I finally decided to embrace the stupid.
Grey the Green Spinda is now one of my all-time favorite monsters, and it's the centerpiece of any troll set I decide to run.
Ever see someone rage quit when their prized Legendary gets blown out by a Spinda using Sucker Punch?
I have. It's fucking great. Love you, Grey.

I was much younger, playing through Diamond, my first Pokemon game. I thought it was cool that it sparkly, but didn't know of the term "Shiny" or how rare it was. I lost that copy of the game many years ago, but now I have two Shiny Abomasnow that I keep in tribute to it.

Ever since starting pokemon, I never used repels on principle in an attempt to increase my odds of finding a shiny, but it still never happened. The same was true of Soul Silver. I've done everything besides catch legendaries by this point and I was chasing Latios in Kanto, when the map said it was on the route between cycling road and Celadon City. The only way I would find to get to grass was a patch of grass behind cut. I go in the grass and...

This was my first. I caught it in poke mom gold. I had been playing poker on over 10 years before I ever found a shiny. I was really upset because I knew I couldn't transfer it and now it's lost forever.

Pic related for XY, the streak caps at 40 encounters, where the Shiny rate is 1/200, it only works in normal grass, not grass with colored flowers.

Also Consecutive Fishing: Use any of the Fishing Rod near a rock or anything similar (the more the better) and after 20 streaks the Shiny rate is 1/20

Caught this guy in heartgold by accident. Thought something was wrong with my lighting at first.
I also caught a shiny vulpix, slowpoke, and onyx on an emulated leafgreen in the span of 24 hours by complete accident.

Not counting the wormhole shinies. Initially I didn't think it was a big deal since I had assumed Ultra Beasts also had increased shiny chances like the normal pokemon.

i got a shiny pidgeotto in blaze black2 but since thats not an official pokemon game it doesnt count.
My first legal pokemon in an official pokemon game was a poochyena, was trying to get a nice 5ivs mightyena with all the elementals fangs

First one was a shiny Zubat, but it was in an emulated Japanese Ruby version a few months after it came out, way before injection was possible.

My first official one was literally a few days ago during my first play-through of Black 2. I was in Victory Road after beating the league on the way to fight N when it happened.

Way way back in Sapphire when that was still the newest game. I was maybe 12ish. I knew about shinies but there wasn't much information at all about them. I had only ever seen Red Gyarados and Ash's Noctowl, so I wasn't even sure that every Pokemon HAD a shiny. I just kinda thought it was a few of them. I never even had a friend that had seen once except one dude who told me he found a yellow Grimer but lost it. I believed him at the time.

So I looked down and noticed a blue Electrike on the screen. Missed any kind of sparkles. This was still early enough that I didn't know Electrike's color scheme that well but I THOUGHT it was supposed to be green. So I caught it. It was sent to the PC. And then I found another one and it was definitely green. Went to the PC to look at it and was amazed.

My first ever honest shiny reaction though was in HeartGold yeeears later where the middle Electrode in the Mahogany Town Team Rocket HQ was blue. Sparkles and everything. I fucking freaked out, caught him, it didn't know Self-destruct thank god, and I took him all the way to Red.

I have about 13 or so shinies now but sadly these two have been lost. I did happen to find another random blue Electrike in Alpha Sapphire though so I feel like I got my blue friend back. I still have him. One day I'll reclaim Electrode. May even hunt that exact same Electrode in Mahogany Town.

Those two and a shiny Karrablast (Now Escavalier, which I do still have) are my only 3 full odds 1/8192 shinies. The rest are gen 6 and beyond.

I caught her in 2005 in Sapphire trying to find a Horsea for my dex. I knew what a shiny Pokemon was because my sister and I watched the anime and played Gold and Silver and I flipped my shit. Looked it up later and found out it has a 5% encounter rate on the route I caught it.
