So i wanted to get USUM today, but it was sold out cause jesus birthday and choose a different game
And holy shit, Monster Hunter Stories is really good

This game wasnt a meme after all, is actually good and GF could learn a lot from it

Where do you live? I live in Mississauga, and almost every Walmart, Best Buy or EB games has a stack of copies of USUM. I was literally one of the few people who got it the next day after release. There wasn't even a line.

It was a cool game but it needed some extra polish and had really bad performance on o3DS. I'm not sure what pokemon would learn from it though. The battle system is way too different to inspire anything, and MHS had even more stupid cutscenes than SM does. Ratha was also a horrible idea and Navirou's design is so fucking ugly.

The gene system was fun but I really hated how things were locked to a certain position. It just turned things into a grind. And raising new eggs to match your team's level took way too fucking long.

it was a fun game, but it had so many flaws

Is not a lie than it did sold out here, in latin america most people just buy the nostalgic/normie games, you can sell literal shit call it Pokemon and everyone will buy it, specially these days
I only wanted USUM to kill some time until the new Digimon game next month

I just feel than Pokemon should try something like MHS, i still like the designs in Pokemon the most, but the games need more innovation and love

you get more abilities and items, so with an ability you can force the monster to do only melee, or if you catch the pattern, you can use a trap that will stun the monster for like 3 turns and just kick it while it's on the ground, the bad thing is that in pvp, so can the other player
also i haven't reach that point, but i heard that there's some monsters that are so stupidly strong that you can spam 2 abilities and destroy anything without ever using the rock, paper, scissor system

Mostly the world being more alive and have ways to interact with the mons, you have a very limited amount of pokemon to mount and they didnt improve much the ammie, being mostly the same but with free antidotes. In MHS you can see the monster moving freely in the world, but pokemons usually dont do much other than standing still, useless is for a photo, but they dont interact much either and very few appear.
I want to see a Pokemon world where you can see how the local Pokemon affect the area they live in and how the area affect them

Ammie/refresh is fine, they added the care button and the clean your pokemon tools, what it needs is more minigames.
As for wild pokemon being in the overworld, that's not happening, the game works in a way so you can grind or look for a pokemon without the need to leave a patch of grass, just imagine how annoying it would be if you entered a zone and in that zone it can spawn 8 different pokemon but only 4 pokemon can be there, so you have to leave and re-enter the zone so different pokemon spawn, and on top of that, let's say you want a female pokemon, you enter the zone, go touch the pokemon to battle and realize it's male, it would take just so much more time, also think of how annoying those ratatas and digglet that followed you in SM were, now think of that on every zone, that would be really fucking annoying, like gameplay wise, this offers no benefits, just a lot of trouble
