If you want following Pokemon go play PMD. Clearly the main Pokemon game is meant to be a different experience, so expecting it just because they did it once is expecting too much.
I hope you're not expecting it for the eventual GSC remakeremakes, either. They can barely handle animating battles or characters talking in cutscenes, can you imagine how retarded following Pokemon would look in game..

The 3DS wasn't strong enough to have following 3D Pokemon models except in very limited capacity.

Game Freak didn't feel like putting it in BW or BW2.

What does having creature designs or world art add to the gameplay? Why not just make the game a series of battles using stat-sheets with no graphics whatsoever?

They haven't cared about it during the 3D era, yet considering the fps drop in 3ds it's impossible for GF to do something decent.

Don't get hyped for pokemon switch, even if they had the best developers and programmers they would give us another playable beta, following pokemon are dead unless GF purges itself out of mediocre people

It's not the 3ds fault at all, but GF became so lazy during the 3ds era that there is no scenario where they could deliver a good game.
But hey, japanese kids complained about sinnoh being to confusing and big, we got unova.
Yet japanese kids loved Alola, even after the initial bad reviews, so we will likely get Unova 4 in Switch

I don't understand why people have a problem with it? It did add to the gameplay, finding items and raising friendship the more you walked with it, so it's not like it didn't add anything.
