One thing that made him great for me was when my nuzlocke run of emerald wasn't going so hot and I had the fighting type gym coming up, this nigga came clutch. 1/4 resistance to fighting and he learns gust (and confusion I think) at a fairly early level.

If it had some more physical defense it would give slowbro a run for his money in terms of stall but he's honestly not that bad. Especially considering in his gen Bite and Crunch were still special attacks and most dark types at that point in time were physical attackers.
