the sudden feel when this game is actually fun to play was also a shot in the kidneys. the new games have become a tedious list of chores to process insofar as natures, IVs, egg moves, a bloated "gotta catch em all even though there's now way too many of them for you to possibly give a shit about them all" mess
playing through USUM was an absolute series lowpoint for me. the comic relief of reliving the bizarreness of team rocket's "super masterplan" being taking over a radio station to broadcast 'yo boss where you at' on all frequencies is a highpoint for me
this has been an 18 year old goosechase trying to relieve the childhood wonder pokemon inspired in me as a kid and it's nice to finally be back again, if only for this brief moment
as far as this franchise goes, it seems everything since then has just been noise.
