I’m not under NDA, but my source definitely is, so I’m going to stay anonymous to make sure nothing can be traced back to my source. I know my source personally from having worked as a tech journalist reporting from Japan. I have no experience in leaking stuff like this because frankly, I’ve never really happened upon such a treasure trove of exclusive information. With the recent discussion around Pokémon Switch I asked around in my circle about some of the rumors I heard (Spain as a setting, open-world, new engine, Pokémon Stars) knowing that my source might be able to confirm or deny them, but safe to say my source knew more, and told more, than I expected.
I’m pretty into Pokémon myself but I’m not a total expert either (skipped quite a few games before Sun brought me back). My information might be flawed; as the game is not out for another 18 months many things are still subject to change. But I thought it’d be a shame not to share what I know, and I don’t think I’m really hurting Game Freak/Nintendo with what early information I have, either. I did my best to paint as complete a picture as possible. So, here goes!
