>>34603153I have similar experience. I'm from a small town in the USA, there are 6 adults that I know of who still play Pokemon. One girl is a banker, we've battled before, and she used a first stage Pokemon in battle. I felt kind of embarrassed after beating her team because clearly she doesn't care about IVs or EVs. Then her boyfriend battles me and we were more on par with each other because he played more seriously. The other girl is a stripper, but I'm pretty sure she only plays so she can post pictures of her playing to instagram. We traded a few times while working on our Pokedex for Sun and Moon, and months after release she was still on the first island. The other two guys are casual gamers.
Pokemon Go on the other hand... There's 10-12 people who still play regularly, and it's more females than males. In fact, the person who set up our group chat and coordinates meet ups for raids is a girl.
