Playing gen 1 for the first time with Red.

I have bulbasaur and pikachu, is dropping bulba a good idea? I'd rather use oddish. Also I really like Vaporeon, I know that someone gives you an eevee I just don't know where and if it will be underleveled.

I'll only do ONE but first dubs picks a Pokemon I use.
