Does the game has Differences in routes and story, beyond the last moment of it, and apart of how you move around between islands? (though i have to admit, Mantine surfing is a nice shoutout to surfing pika)
Does Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon's mascot was Necrozma, and was promoted as such in the boxes of the games? (not really, it's Solgaleo and Lunala again, fused with it though...you know like what? Like Black and white Kyurem; both of which aren't third versions, but sequels)
Let's face it. These were praised to be great "side-games" with the content of a new game a la BW2, even in the goddamned commercials (watching one now; they need to milk this until january 6th where i live); the truth is, they are neither third versions, nor continuations of stories, but a very weird and lazy in-between. We cannot judge them with those rules alone, but you know how we can judge them, by the rules of BOTH THINGS AS A WHOLE, since these games fall in both.

Even if they added again the Pokemon World Tournament (WHY DIDN'T THEY DO THIS? The game literally PAVED the way for it!), it'd still be a half-assed game.
