Anyone have a good RSE romhack that does the following, or at the very least most of it?
>fair difficulty that isn't kaizo tier autism

I used to be that guy and really they're just trying to make a cool fucking game and that is the path of least resistance for them. It's a lot easier to say "I want my big project to have a hundred new pokemon, a morally grey story and features that I've always wanted in a pokemon game" than "I want my big project to have very little visible creative input from myself, have a comfy and simple storyline that doesn't detract from the gameplay and rely on that quality gameplay that someone else made."

Pokemon Throwback is a fine romhack, but it doesn't do that. It doesn't create new sprites to make the game, its characters, and its Pokemon look more like the original art, it only has minor edits of a couple of the characters to dress more similarly, but it's still using all the gen 3 designs as a template and the gen 3 art style is in tact. The overworld edits are fine, but the bigger sprites aren't. It also put a hat on the female protag because "muh tradition established by games that came after RBY", so it doesn't care about accuracy.
