The Lusamine in SM causes big trouble dealing with the Ultra Wormholes, but in USUM, she takes different actions thanks to the knowledge she receives from the URS about the Ultra Wormholes. As long as the Alola region is in a situation where danger is approaching it, she will prioritize addressing it.

Her trial has a very convinient place in the story, as it's the point of return after dealing with the danger in Alola and going back to the main goal of the challenge, thus it's important. We actually made it so you could see a different side of the captains as you progress through it. There's some things that get revealed for the first time in this game, like the relationship between Kiawe and Hiker David, and we hope you enjoy it.

We added up over 100 different episodes, but my personal favorite is Nanu's event. There's also Ilima's event at the police station and many others, so as a way of enjoying the sightseeing in Alola, please try going back into places you already went and look for them.

>--You say adding over 100 of them, that's a considerable volume. The effort put into their making may have been pretty hard, I can suppose.

>Suginaka: The subevents included in the Pokemon series are generally around 80~100. In Pokemon USUM, we add about the same amount to the ones in SM, thus making the total volume of the scenario pretty big.

In the same way, we put a lot of things from cotidianity that swing your emotions down in to the game. There's probably people who have consciously stocked those kind of ideas, but mileages vary.

>Suginaka: I think the role of subevents is to deepen the world setting and making it more entertaining, so in that sense it's easier to feel sympathy from ideas that come from everyday life.

The Kantonian Gym (the gym-like battle facility in Malie City) represents an experience I had when I saw a store in Hawai that handled Japanese products and thought "oh, so that's how our country is seen in foreign countries". It takes it's motif on the gym in Vermilion City, but in Alola it changes it's appearance a little.
