Incineroar's niche is a bulky attacker with Fake Out.
Adamant, Max Attack and max HP should be fine. I don't hink there's any specific EV spread. Use Brave if on a Trick Room team.
Usually holds Assault vest for extra bulk, although Incinium Z is still popular.

Fake out is practically mandatory.
Flare Blitz too, as it's its strongest move, but use it sparingly because recoil.
Darkest Lariat if Z-move, Knock off if Vest
Last move is usually Protect, but not if you're using Vest. Other options include fighting coverage like Drain Punch or Low Kick and Snarl for extra support.

Most of the Incineroar hate is about it's design.

It's a somewhat bulky dark type that isn't immune to fairy and it's movepool is decent enough; though Intimidate is the biggest thing it has going for it. He'll be great in VGC doubles but it's still not a particularly remarkable Pokémon.

No, the owl is the worst.

Primarina is probably the best due to its typing but it's stat spread is a bit awkward. It could with less SpA and more HP or Def. That or recovery.

Incineroar is as mentioned.

Decidueye is bad. So painfully outclassed in everything it can attempt. But if you like it then have fun.

I hate them all though. I think the designs range from shit, to mediocre at best, and that's enough reason for me to avoid all three.

I have't browsed /vp/ since summer, when I left the main opinion was that:
Trannyseal is mediocre~good thanks to SpA
Edgeowl was mediocre-bad but boosted t higher tiers thanks to popularity
Baracat was utter trash.
What changed?
Also owlfag were mocking ctfags that Hidden Ability would boost Baracat's performance and claimed it wouldn't happen.

Mostly the meta shift. Lando pretty much made Arcanine irrelevant, and Aegislash/Cress running around made Incineroar thrive I guess. Tutors didn't give Incineroar too much to use that would be viable.

This isn’t smogon where 12 year olds just slap 6 mons together with cool moves, VGC is a championship with prize money at the end, casuals don’t try out mons there, that’s Doubles.
If it’s bad it wouldn’t be 17th most used, and that goes to all top 30.

but you know that investment into def will make it more worthy? you literally take 10-30% less damage with that and with intimidate it's even better

this is why I'm asking for spreads because max hp is a bullshit made by smogon
