Why do people rag on Charizard for being bad in competitive when Blastoise exists?

>generic bulky water
>can't recover outside of rest where it's likely to die or be put in low health again by the time it wakes up
>the best it can do is rapid spin and nothing else

Outside of its mega, Blastoise is bad and even with its mega its still worse than both of them by leaps and bounds.
