Unironically, USUM if you haven't played it's predecessor. You can go fuck yourself if you think otherwise. Only thing XY accomplished was a comfy fucking region and the official end of the Golden Age of Pokemon the week it released.

OR/AS were shit remakes and US/UM were improvements on the shittiest games in the series but still based on the shittiest games in the series.

ORAS:

X/Y were my favorite mainline games after B/W ( as in games not including their third version or improved versions) and I only like B/W more just because of its story. The PSS system was 10/10, Kalos and the music was beautiful but the game really needed a fix to its difficulty and it was robbed from that by not having a Z to fix that shit.

I always found Gen 6 to be just ok. A bit mediocre with nothing really standing out aside from being the first 3D Pokemon gen. However I still found Gen 6 to be much more enjoyable than 7 in nearly all regards except graphics.

Emerald > ORAS still and SM/USUM although fun didn't really wow me. I think I missed the gym battles too much and I didn't care for Nebby and Lillie at all. In fact they annoyed me.

objectively, usum is the best, even though i thought it was a waste of money, didn't even do the ultra wormhole postgame stuff, and felt they made the story worse compared to sm
i put more hours into xy than the rest of the 3ds games combined, which was pretty much just because breeding 5iv pokemon easily was new.
oras is worse than emerald
