So I'm wondering why so many people dislike Harley. People are willing to admit basic info like that he is May's rival and that he was probably gay or bisexual, but the make excuses when someone wants to talk about Harley more. Harley is a secondary main character. He is the rival to May. TV Tropes and Wikipedia agree he's a main character. And yet people ignore him. It's not because he's evil or weird, Team Rocket are both of those, but people love them. People forget Harley. But I don't know why.
Harley did many important things. He was the first serious villain in a long time. He opposed May being a coordinator, as if you choose Pokémon coordinating as a career you have to deal with people calling you crap and your performance crap, and other mean actions. He drove Drew into hating May again after he softened up, subverting the old cliche about befriending rivals, and shaking the season and tension up. He was funny and entertaining beyond belief too! and he might have had Sadistic Personality Disorder (removed from DSM 3) and Narcissistic Personality Disorder (I made a thread for that, https://forums.bulbagarden.net/index.php?threads/my-harley-has-narcissistic-personality-disorder-theory.200337/).
(I guess I'm mostly just mad that I can't discuss certain aspects about Harley for very long. And my Harley drawings on Deviantart were never popular.
