>>34643218It's still a lot different than the sheer mass of kids/teens in the fandom around 2006 who believed anything could happen in the anime. Misty fans were still rampant on forums back then believing she would come back after May left or AG ended, back then people had no idea Dawn was going to be a second coordinator, etc.
In the dub there was still the voice actor change controversy during Battle Frontier that we knew would continue into DP, back then people were still following the dub regularly.
As I said it was literally almost 12 years ago so it was a completely different time.
