>>34639655>reeeee death can't be alloweddeath is part of a shit ton of non edgy rpgs not named pokemon. death in games is perfectly acceptable by anyone mature, which /vp/ isn't. what's not okay is when you kill someone for the sake of killing or to show how overly 'evil' a character is. make deaths impactful. like in pokemon reborn, the scene where the poison gym leader kills himself is probably meant to be sad and everything but we as players just didn't care about the character. we don't have anything to feel sad for. as a result it just comes off as hilariously edgy and stupid
swearing is also fine as long as it's done in moderation. don't have every other character constantly saying fuck or asshole or whatever. but a few characters saying 'hell' or 'damn' once in a while is probably acceptable. and most importantly leave out sex and politics and religion and the like, or if you do, imply it, don't state it.
