I don't care about kanto and I don't really care about new pokemon either. There are too many of them already.

I just want a game that isn't the same old rehashed shit we always get. Change up the battle system or something. Do something new. Is that too much to ask?

There's a lot of queues for another Kanto remake in Gen 7, and I can see it happening, considering original Kanto is the only one without a DS/3DS is game, but I'd rather see Sinnoh get their remakes, even if I doubt they'd do Platinum any justice and just go for a weaker copy of Diamond and Pearl with some extra gimmicks and legendaries to catch like ORAS.

While they did mention in interviews that USUM is the culmination of their work on the 3DS, it's not like their remakes have ever pushed the boundaries very far or added anything innovative. It could happen just to round things out, but if we're talking jumping right to the Switch, it'll probably be a new generation.

However, there is the chance they want to hop on that nostalgia train and introduce the first generation to an entirely new audience while making normies eat it up. Can't deny there's a market for nostalgic genwunners out there still.

If they did ANOTHER kanto remake, I'd drop the series, I'm already sick of the pandering it gets in every other game, it's ruining the experience of newer games having the same fucking Pokemon appear all the time, kanto this, kanto that. Why is Kanto so fucking famous in the Pokemon world? It doesn't have anything that stands out, it's literally the most boring region.

Gen 8 or bust.

Well, yeah, it's no secret GF are always going to hold true to some patterns (the design of the starters and box legendaries, the progression system, in some form or another, building to a league challenge at the end), regardless of what you spergs think, introducing a new region to show off the first game on new hardware is a given at this stage.
