Pretty sure the thing he does is related to how Necrozma is unable to control its own light in one of its idle animations. Also, Gladion's hood kind of resembles base Necrozma's upper torso.

There's always a character whose design resembles or represents some key creature one way or another:

Lusamine - Pheromosa
Acerola - Dhelmise / Mimikyu
Lillie - Nihilego
All Kahunas champion the colors of each guardian deity.

It just seems rather interesting for Gladion's case since he already represents Null/Sillvally.

I don't actually think it's this, but old injuries do cause tremors. I know from experience.

I used to box, and over the years I got more than a few blows to my head. Eventually I started noticing that my hands were shaking. IIRC, it was because I sustained irreversable nervous system damage.
