I’m a huge fan of the series but not sure my GF ever really gave Pokemon a go. She bought a 2DS recently and loves Tomodachi Life and the Prof. Layton games.

I was thinking of getting her Y as a starting point to the series, relatively easy with exp share, fairy type and the trainer customisation will go down well I think. Thoughts? I was thinking of playing through X alongside her as well

I don't think that those anons were expecting to "date a clone". It's more like they want to share something that they hold dear to but both their SOs don't feel the same way. Both know that and they're cool with it.

My SO and I both love Pokemon a little too much ourselves but as time went on we talked more and more about important shit too. As much as we love the series we see it more as a hobby than something that keeps us together. And if either one of us has lost interest in it we'll stick together.
