I have an intensely strong collection impulse, which, if unstimulated, turns to a legitimate gambling compulsion. So catching all Pokemon gives me the necessary dopamine rush to prevent falling into any really bad habits.

That said, these last two games have been fucking rough, man, and USUM is almost actively discouraging to play. We're, what, a month out? I've sunk 79 hours into it, and not yet completed all the flipping trials.

I'm more inclined to play Torchlight 2 on elite mode than this hand-clasping frustration fest any more.

I do like surfing though, and the ultra wormholes, but the final nail in this coffin is the k owledge that I ha e to play it twice to get another poipol to complete the lving dex. Also, I'm so deep in and ZERO bottle caps. By this point in SM I had a pile of silvers and a few golds.
