for me, it was this guy. not sure why it took so long but i love this guy quite a bit. the concept, design and overall color scheme clicked for me relatively late.

Scizor is kind of a case where I started with it as a favorite but over time came to feel more mixed on. As a design it is really cool but it by far the least bug bug type, the mega looks like shit too.

For me pinsir and muk are those pokemon. As a kid I felt nothing for them but now I fucking love these two a ton.

Probably one of the most criminally underrated designs ever. I would've criticized it for not being part Water, but I realized that flaw is actually the BEST part of the design as it makes it unique. Dat movepool too. There has never been an Electric type this versatile to use. Its my 2nd all time favorite right now.

It took the walking animations to finally make me like and accept this lizard as a decent successor to salandit. Pretty ok in battle, too, which always helps. Still would love salandit to get a male evo, though.

Same here! Really disappointed in how its ability works, and hate that only females get to evolve. Thought GF knew better than to make another Combee situation, but guess not.

For me, pic-related proved his worth in my OR nuzlocke. Killed Steven's Megagross by himself.
