The reason they have their cutoff set for 2019 is because by then, a finished game should exist, and those who brought the most to the development will be taken as full-time Game Freak employees (same thing happened with ohmura and turner)

If this is the case, they probably haven't left early development yet. Why hire SO MUCH staff so late into dev? Did Game Freak run out of willpower or something?
