I kinda know the feel. I always preplan my team, but i frequently end up not liking 1 or 2 of them, and lose several days of gameplay searching, catching (sometimes even breeding), testing and grinding different Pokés until I'm satisfied.

I'm currently doing a Mono-Water run on UM, and although it is fun, i suddenly had a urge to do a Mono-Rock, and now I'm nearly speedrunning through the game to start it over.

So? No pokemon game is too hard that can't be beat with a bit of strategy
This was the team i beat USUM with and the only battle i had to spam healing items was Hau and that was only because i didn't wanna bother to repeat the battle to find a strategy against each of his pokemon

oh man, i wish i had these levels when battling against Hau, i overleved my team unintentionally, everyone was 58-61, it became so easy, 1HKOed (with the effective pokemon) almost every Hau's pokemon.

This was me after usun.
My team was going to be:
> Decidueye
> A.Muk
> Salazzle
> Golisopod
> Minior
> Togedemaru
First game since Y and I was interested in A.muk, golisopod, salazzle, and minior.
Only A.muk and golisopod impressed me enough to keep on my team.
Ended up with a magnezone early in the game and stuck with that instead of getting togedemaru.
