How do we make Mismagius good? I mean sure it's okay but it's got the bulk of a wet tissue and needs to boost to hit harder than one too.

No Magic Guard, no Magic Bounce. Literally nothing sets her apart from other Ghost Types. She's fast and a little strong but nothing extraordinary.

I still love her design and what she could've been.

What if she was:

>Ghost/Fairy
>Magic Guard/Prankster / HA: Magic Bounce
>70 / 40 / 60 / 110 / 105 / 110

Prankster because she levitates around chanting incantations.

Increase Sp.Atk/Sp.Def/Speed to 115. Add Fairy typing, give her moonblast. Increase HP & Def to 80.

Boom, done.
A little bulkier now, has 4 total immunities, not raped by sucker punch anymore, has an actual good fairy move.

Give it a small boost to SpA, SpD, and Speed (5-10 points each), and give it access to few more moves like Ice Beam, Earth Power, Moonblast, Healing Wish, Disable, Reflect, Light Screen, Magic Coat, and Magic Room. Give Magic Bounce and Magic Guard as a Hidden/Secondary abilities (keep Levitate as base ability 1). Give it a Fairy typing.

Mismagius' niche is being a fast ghost that can boost (though ironically the slowass Cofagrigus can use Nasty Plot better thanks to not being raped by any physical attack or getting violated by Sucker Punch) and as of Gen VII Mismagius now has the niche of being a fully evolved ghost with levitate. So really all Mismagius needs is a way to not get dicked over by Sucker Punch, so as others have said give it the Fairy-type, as well as Moonblast for a high Base Power STAB move. No need for stat changes.

Also on an unrelated note is it just me or is Mismagius the cutest fully evolved ghost?

Levitate is better than post nerf prankster. Mismagius is weak to dark so its a bad ability on mismagius.

Give it Prankster for a second ability, and access to encore, even though it lacks the hands to clap.

Now you can send it in when you think your opponent is going to use a move that won't hurt Mismagius, like Close Combat or Hyper Voice. Or even if they try to boost, lock them into the boosting move. Then use Nasty Plot. Proceed to throw Shadow Balls in everyone's faces.
