What if they reveal it during the Direct, though?
People already know it's coming for Movie21, the last we heard of that was about a month ago, and said movie is coming out in July which gives everyone in Japan about half a year to experience Zeraora in USUM before Gen 8 releases.

Zeraora was made to "have something to hype over" for the next year, so they have the time to work on a new game on a new console, which mean they have to do way more shit than just recycling their 3DS assets all over again (Except the Pokemon models of course)
I mean if this means we'll have a year of "experimental" spin offs like Conquest and other shit, I'm down for it

AZ's floette does exists in the games as a usable mon, even with it's own signature move. However it's unused and there was never an event for it.

Because they were promoting Gen 2. How does this help your argument? The anime has ALWAYS had new gen Pokemon appear before their debut.
