"Sol" and "luna" are Spanish for "sun" and "moon" respectively. Considering that fact and Masuda's trip to Spain a few years ago, it looks like our new region may well be based on Spain. And with a region based on Spain (which is directly south of France) and a slew of unsolved mysteries in XY, a post-game return trip to Kalos might not actually be that Farfetch'd. Hype is slowly building.
