Yes. Alolan forms were a failure. They shouldve just been new pokemon with new designs instead of reskins. They failed to make older pokemon more usable. The ninetales family could've used a mega but now that dream is gone. I'm just thankful that Raichu wasn't invalidated. He's a much better support mon compared to his alolan counter part.

That's not what they were intended to do. If they were trying to do that, they would have been Megas instead.

Ice fox vs red fox. It's already clear who's gonna win, just like snow owl vs barn owl or winter bunny vs regular plain rabbit.
Plus, A-Tales is actually very, very usefull unlike vanilla. Hell, Torkoal (for a while at least) now does a better job than it. There are zero reasons to ever use regular Tales, ever.
