Are the Ultra games worth it? I liked S/M a lot and they were the peak of the series imo, but am I gonna get sick because they're just more of the same or are they actually good sequels?

A large portion of it in the beginning is the same as SM. It's only near the end that they start to show more of the differences. Plus there's additional ultra beasts plus being able to catch an infinite amount of the ones from SM. Do some research on the differences and determine for yourself if you want to buy it.

Well, they’re not sequels. They’re “enhanced” versions. Think Emerald or Platinum, not BW2. If you’re hoping for an entirely new story or significantly different region, you’ll be disappointed.

If you had to buy one or the other, USM would be the obvious choice. But if you already own SM and are considering buying USM as well, I can’t decide that for you. You have the facts; it’s up to you whether it’s worth your $40.

I really like SM, but I'd only really recommend USUM if you care more about the competitive battling aspects of the series.

As far as being good sequels I'd have to say no, too much of the material is rehashed for the story to feel fresh. While the changes they made weren't bad, I just don't think it's enough to warrant a purchase if you mainly care about single player content.

Yes. They're close enough to SM to make huge chunks of it seem like a replay, but the have a number of small impovements and a different roster of Pokémon to choose from. My main issue was that they felt too much like replaying SM which I didn't find all that replayable, but if you're wanting to replay them then Ultra is definitely worth it.
