People (me included) just believe it's coming in 2019 because it makes more sense, considering it should be more difficult to transition to whole new console, plus they implied the development of Switch game started around the same time as USUM (they even said the younger crew worked on it, while the veterans worked on Switch).
Yes, its is perfectly possible that it comes on 2018, just doesn't sound reasonable according to what they said before, and development-wise, and even market-wise in a way, since selling on a more stablished console is better. Except if Nintendo puts pressure on them to prioritize boosting Switch sales, what is actually very possible.
