>>34696181I don't use pain split. Giratina's main uses are to annoy the shit out of pdon or kill it (especially rock setter) and to pick off weakened opponents with shadow sneak.
Or you can run hex and a status move to take out stall mons besides chansey.
Basically you'll want max def and atk/spatk I think, and either go with:
Defog
Shadow Force/Earthquake
Shadow Sneak
Dragon Tail (phase out boosting pdon which is more common these days)
OR
Defog
Draco Meteor
Hex
(a status of your choice)
Toxic is the only one that works on pdon, but you can take him down with draco. Wisp is nice for physical threats but I like t-wave for lugia mainly because you can outspeed him. Its also nice for paralyzing stuff that can hit you hard on predicted switches from their pdon (yveltal or xerneas).
The reason he is a good defog user is that he deals with pdon well, and some other threats, due to levitate and his tankiness. I haven't seen an actual mainly attacking giratina in a while.
